WHOLE HOUSE REMODELS
These are as varied as gutting a whole house to the studs and reconfiguring everything, to lightly retouching existing rooms.
A whole house remodel often involves remodeling or even reconfiguring multiple bathrooms. Typically, the kitchen is one of the most extensive – and expensive – rooms to remodel.
Often the flooring changes during a whole house remodel. Chandler Construction Services can install customized flooring, prefinished hardwood floors and new tile floors.
Exterior remodels can involve residing, replacing windows, adding decks, installing plumbing and lighting around new outdoor rooms.
We have built everything from single story to three-story houses. We are happy to work with architects and designers on your customized, one-of-a-kind project or with purchased home plans. We’ve built homes in challenging environments such as lakesides, small lots, sand dunes and other demanding locations.
An extensive project was in the Camp Buffalo development in New Buffalo. It involved incorporating split-log elements and finishing details to coordinate with the homes around it. The rustic, hand-scraped prefinished hardwood floors add to the cabin feel of the house, much to the homeowner’s delight. This project is a good example of follow-up after project completion to answer questions and of a continuing relationship between us and our client.
Another home build project of note is in Union Pier on the lake. This custom home is an intricate build combining post-and-beam construction with standard construction. Because of the location overlooking Lake Michigan, this 2,200-square-foot, two-level showpiece home project was executed without hoists and other heavy equipment.
